Filskov Church - Beautiful church near Billund

Filskov Church was built in 1877 without a tower, initiated by the local citizens and designed by architect L.A. Winstrup. The tower was added in 1929 as a gift from Anton Moustgaard. The church was restored in 1970 and 1997. Filskov Parish was separated from Sønder Omme Parish in 1911. The idea of building churches arose after 1866 when the inhabitants of Filskov rediscovered the medieval cemetery at Østergård. The site is marked with a memorial stone at Amtsvejen 25D. Filskov Church is located in the western part of the village, surrounded by open areas with villas and detached houses.

Filskov Church was built  in 1877 from drawings by architect L.A.Winstrup. The tower was added in 1929. The church has a porch on the northern side of the nave. The church is situated on the northwesters side of Filskov in a nice villa and parcel area with Filskovcentret northeast and Missionshuset north.
