Winter bathing at Albuen Beach
Are you looking for a beach for your winter swim?
Albuen Beach is very shallow, as it is located inside the fjord, which is a bay. There is no bathing jetty or stairs down to the water, so you have to walk a bit into the water before it gets deep. There are toilet facilities by the kiosk, which you can use during your visit.
About the history of the beach
The construction of the beach began in 1942. The sand was brought in from Trelde Næs, and after six years of work, the new beach was ready for use. The beach became so popular that it has been renovated several times – most recently in 2005.
