Nordisk Metalkunst

In 1970, at just 25 years old, Stiig Kalsing bought Nordisk Metalkunst together with his brother Steen Kalsing. Since then, Nordisk Metalkunst has been behind well-known sculptures such as The Little Mermaid souvenirs, the Børsen Gazelle Award, the Byens Bedste Middelfart sculpture, and many more.

Today, the company consists of three bronze artisans: Stiig Kalsing, his daughter Mian Kalsing, and her husband Lau Asmussen.

Since childhood, Mian Kalsing has been part of her father's workshop – back then in Zealand, and now in a beautiful, idyllic country estate in Staurby, where the now 55-year-old artistic company relocated in 2019.

The gallery is housed in a beautifully restored former pigsty. Next to the gallery is the workshop, where Stiig Kalsing, Mian Kalsing, and Lau Asmussen create bronze sculptures, statuettes, wine stoppers, corporate gifts, and much more.

The gallery is open on weekdays, where Mian and Lau welcome both private visitors and businesses for guided tours. You are also welcome to explore the gallery on your own, experiencing the versatility of bronze art and sensing how this idyllic setting invites peace, immersion, and reflection.
