Pick up the Tour of Filskov brochure at the inn, church, or grocery store – or download it in advance. It includes a map and information about the village's past and present. Along the route, you’ll find more info boards.

Before 1877, Filskov was a quiet corner of the Sønder Omme parish. It later grew into a village on the sandy soils of West Jutland. In 1917 it became a railway town, and in 1947 an independent municipality. But after 1970, the railway closed and the municipality merged with Grindsted – and new ideas were needed.

Since 1979, many community projects have been launched: a sports clubhouse, children's house, district heating plant, care home, new grocery store, school and kindergarten, youth housing, and more.

Come visit – the surrounding nature is beautiful!
