Vejle’s 700th town anniversary

2027 is a year of celebration for Vejle! On 16 August 2027, Vejle marks 700 years since it became a market town. Throughout 2027, you can therefore look forward to a wide range of exciting events, celebrations and activities in Vejle.

The celebrations will include the following events:

New Year’s Eve

The anniversary year will already kick off on New Year’s Eve with a huge fireworks show at 8.27 pm on 31 December 2026. This will let us step into the new year in a very special way.

Find a good spot at Vejle Marina, by Bølgen or around Havneøen. The fireworks will be launched from Skyttehushaven, which will therefore be closed for safety reasons.

Anniversary week

During the anniversary week from 14 to 21 August, the anniversary will be celebrated with activities and events for both children and adults. This will include both well-known and new events:

• 700 street parties
• 700 choir singers
• Anniversary celebration
• Vejle Fjord Festival
• Rock i Byparken

• Marking of the fire in Vejle, April

• Gruppetto Festival and children’s bike race – in connection with PostNord Danmark Rundt
